The Trapps, also known as the Carriage Road, is the best known and most popular bouldering area in the Gunks. Bouldering here dates back to the late '50s, and many famous climbers of various eras have left their mark: Layton Kor, John Gill, Lynn Hill, Paul Robinson, and more. The Trapps is well-known for trad climbing, so you can climb the world-famous 1941 classic High Exposure (5.6) in the morning, and then meet up with friends for a session at The Buddha in the afternoon. With 486 problems from V0-V14 (including 23 projects), the Trapps certainly has the lion's share of Gunks bouldering.
