The Snowy Mountain boulders in Indian Lake, New York are hands down the most unique set of boulders in the Adirondack Park. These boulders are similar to the pocketed face climbs on the Snowy Mountain summit cliff and they contain the highest concentration of pockets/huecos in the park. The pockets, pinches, ripples, and slopers here offer a refreshing change from the sharp edges and crystals that are found at all the other bouldering areas. The rock is very similar to sandstone in texture so repetitive falls off of sloping holds will literally sand the skin off your fingertips! The bouldering here is generally steep, dynamic, and powerful. This guide details 83 problems from V0 to V11 (including 12 projects).
